Today's top 5 Wednesday is........ FAVOURITE DEBUT NOVELS!

This is a super difficult one for me as i don't usually pay attention to whether or not the book is a debut by an author so i had to do a lot of research! but enough of that ...Here we go! These are in no particular order but yes HP is my fav!!

3. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
4. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
5. Divergent by Veronica Roth

These will surely change as now I am focusing more on what books are debut!

Burning Roses by Katarina Arruda Review

 
 
 
Debut novel from a young author! This was a great book and I am so glad i have had the privileged of reading it! This story kept me so engaged, I was tired, I had to work, and yet every free moment I had I found myself reading! I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in contemporary romance! I would not however recommend to read this if you want a light hearted happy read...

Plot
The plot was very intriging, something that was able to make you laugh and have you crying the next moment! It was able to connect the reader to the situation because its not so far out that it would never happen, as this sort of tragedy regretfully happens every single day. I love that there are flashbacks to show just how in love the two of them were before everything happened as it helps to give a clear illustration of who both characters were and what they developed to become. The only thing that did confuse me a bit were some of the flashbacks but once I caught on that it was a flashback it was all good!(May just be because I'm slow). The events that occurred at Ethan's job really interested me as I work on a construction site it is something I see everyday and I just loved having that to connect to as well.

Characters
The character development was great, it upsets me in so many books the author does not allow characters other then the main ones to grow. With this on the other hand i was able to not only invest myself in Rosie and Ethan's story, but in Phil, Anne, Cam, Brad, Kimberly and so many others. I loved to watch these characters all develop, especially Phil knowing what he thought was right to finally seeing what was best for Rosie. My favorite secondary characters is easily Cam, I love how strong he is and how he is always there to help Ethan despite what happened with Leah.

Ending
The ending was absolutely perfect, as it didn't leave any questions that would end up upsetting me after i closed the book. Not only for Ethan and Rosie, but also for Brad and Cam.

Writing
I really enjoyed the writing, especially the part about the fawn and the wolf, i just loved how it was written, it gave a different view on a seemingly regular bar fight between two alpha males. The dream sequence was another big plus from my point of view!
Rating:
 All in all i give this 4 stars because of how all the important and well thought out events, songs, characters, flashbacks, and all the small jokes were able to build on an already fantastic story. The reason it is missing that last star is I would have loved to see a bit more interaction between the primary characters in the present. I know what she went through was brutal but I just needed a little more, as well as more setting! I love reading details about the setting.

[ It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, especially when the two of them seemed to be getting alone and it seemed like they would be okay and then all of a sudden they she was yelling and they were fighting, it continually pulled at my heart strings! I loved the addition of Cam getting injured, it gave the reader a chance to have a bigger connection with him, and illustrated really great character development! The dream sequence at the end of the book really interested me because of how different it was from the entire book, it gave a really fantasy that had me all over the place with how the book would end, with moments when they were really happy, and then when Rosie was walking away with the kids and especially with the shark. By far one of my favorite moments was at the end when Rosie said that Ethan would be a father, it really closed the book and did not leave me thinking about whether or not they had ever had kids or adopted. All it all it was an amazing book.>

Friday Reads! May 15th

So far the book has progressed like 10 years and I'm not even a sixth into it so I'm really interested to see what happens in the rest of this book! So yay!! Lol

Top 5 Wednesday: Summer Covers!

Hey Lovelies!

Today in my top five wednesday post is SUMMER COVERS!
These books are pretty straight forward!
These are in no particular order just five summer covers I like!

1) The summer i turned pretty! (the sun and wind just gives it the feel of summer! oh and the title)
2) Lock and Key! (the water and a girl in shorts or a swinsuit, but it just makes me excited for summer)
3) Since youve been gone (Not only shorts and icecream but the trees are full and the grass is green!)
4) Papertowns (Come on! the cover is a map and to me that means summer road trip!!)
5) Ignite Me! (The others are more icy this one has flowers and leaves! love it!)

My Crystalsbooknook-a-thon Wrap Up

I hope your Saturday is going swell!

Recently I took part in my first OFFICIAL read-a-thon.

I call it official now because I have shared it with all of you, usually I am doing it all on my own!

So this was exciting for me, even if I was still the only one participating!

I managed to complete the Selection Trilogy!! (I consider the Heir part of a new duology!)
